FIRST POINT OUTFALL

General Description

Sewerage Catchment:

• The First Point outfall services the Kincumber and Woy Woy STPs.

Sewage Treatment:  

• Kincumber STP is a conventional activated sludge plant and Woy Woy STP employs continuous extended aeration activated sludge.

Outfall:

• The outfall is located at Little Cove (Winney Bay) and was commissioned in November 1980. The outlet consists of a 900mm diameter pipe attached with an orifice plate, which has a 500mm diameter orifice. The outlet discharges at the edge of the rock bench approximately 4 m below low tide level.
